I always come prepared.
Denying that I’m scared
Just wishing for someone who cares.
Cares for my fluent speaking mode,
My oh-so-funny anecdotes,
Thought and thought-through sentences -
You’d never notice my mind’s a mess.
That’s why
I always come prepared.
I’m always on alert
Trying not to get hurt
Can’t deny I’m scared.
I’m not shy,
I choose not to talk
Don’t ask me why
It makes me feel smart
To tell that to myself.
I know it could be easy
I don’t care if that sounds cheesy:
But life isn’t always fair.
Some float like the air,
Healthy minds and healthy hair,
Why do they not seem to care?
Confident people seem to be everywhere.
I’m not one of them
But I know I can
And until then
I’ll just pretend.
I always come prepared.
Denying that I’m scared
Just wishing for someone who cares.
Cause if I’m silent
Be gentle not violent.
I’m not arrogant,
I’m not arrogant,
I’m just quiet.
And if I’m loud
Without a doubt
I’ve tried it out
In front of my mirror, aloud.
Because I always come prepared.
